Am I really on day 21? I wanted to read this book before I started but I was too anxious to get started & never bought the book:
My gums are even pinker now. My teeth look slightly whiter. But I’ve got a coat on my tongue. A thin, white coat is normal & healthy. I’ve got a thick, white coat, mainly on the back half of my tongue. If I remember correctly, that’s a liver or digestive issue. I mentioned before that I’m detoxing my liver. I’ve also started taking probiotics. I can feel the difference in my gut. I think my digestion is getting back to normal. It was really messed up by all the antibiotics (not to mention nerve damage) I took last Summer for life-threatening infections. The herbalist said it would take a long while to get back to normal. I’m finally getting there. I hope once everything is worked out, this coating will go away.
I haven’t noticed any health benefits I can attribute to oil pulling. I was dizzy yesterday, my blood pressure seemed a bit low. My skin is a getting clearer & brighter, I’ve been using apple cider vinegar as toner/astringent. I’ve lost a few pounds (I had gained 5 in July!). I feel the same, pretty much. I’ll keep doing it, though. If anything, I’ll have whiter teeth & pinker gums.
I should mention that I’ve only worked up to 20 minutes a few days ago. You’re supposed to oil pull for 20 minutes every day. That might be one of the reasons I haven’t noticed much.
